ʿĀlimah Program registration
A Structured Pathway in Women’s Islamic Scholarship
The ʿĀlimah Program is a six-year, full-time course in the Sacred Sciences, designed for committed young women seeking disciplined, classical Islamic training.
The program is intentionally phased and selective. Students are admitted into the foundational years first. Progression into advanced study and eventual authorisation (ijāzah) is by invitation, based on academic performance, character, and readiness to carry the responsibility of knowledge.
Program Structure
Year 1 — Foundations
Focus: Building strong foundations in Qur’an, Fiqh, Hadith, and Arabic while training students in discipline, consistency, and adab.
By the end of Year 1, students can expect to:
Recite Qur’an with correct tajwīd and increased fluency
Memorise essential Qur’anic portions, duʿās, and hadith
Understand and practise core fiqh with confidence
Read and write basic Arabic with grammatical awareness
Develop the study habits required for long-term scholarship
Subjects & Learning Outcomes
Qur’an & Tajwīd
Correct pronunciation, application of tajwīd rules, memorisation of Juz’ 30, selected passages from Juz’ 29, and 40 essential duʿās.
Hadith Memorisation
Memorisation of 40 foundational hadith, building familiarity with Prophetic language and moral guidance.
Fiqh
Study of essential rulings through Ascent to Felicity, grounding students in everyday Islamic practice upon sound knowledge.
Arabic Language & Grammar
Structured Arabic learning using Madinah Arabic and Lisān al-Qur’an, enabling students to begin reading and understanding Arabic texts with guidance.
Arabic Conversation & Application
Guided dialogues and exercises to apply Arabic actively and reinforce comprehension.
Arabic Writing & Orthography
Training in correct Arabic writing, spelling, and presentation using classical reference texts.
Year 2 — Textual Engagement
Entry into Year 2 is by invitation only.
Focus: Strengthening Arabic proficiency and engaging more deeply with classical Islamic texts.
By the end of Year 2, students can expect to:
Engage confidently with structured Arabic texts
Develop a deeper understanding of Sīrah, Hadith, and Fiqh
Read aloud and write Arabic with greater accuracy and clarity
Demonstrate readiness for advanced Islamic study
Subjects & Learning Outcomes
Sīrah
In-depth study of the Prophet’s ﷺ life through Ar-Raḥīq al-Makhtūm.
Hadith Studies & Memorisation
Study and memorisation of selected hadith from Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn, focusing on themes and meanings.
Fiqh
Further development of legal understanding using Tashīl al-Ḍarūrī.
Arabic Language & Grammar
Continuation of Lisān al-Qur’an with selected study from An-Naḥw al-Wāḍiḥ, strengthening comprehension and analysis.
Arabic Literature & Expression
Reading, writing, and oral expression through carefully selected Arabic texts.
Progression & Commitment
This program is not designed for casual study.
Each year builds upon the previous one, and continuation depends on:
Academic progress
Consistent attendance
Discipline and adab
Students who proceed beyond Year 2 are those suited for advanced, long-term Islamic scholarship.
Years 3–6 — Advanced Scholarship & Community Leadership
Entry is by invitation only.
Students who demonstrate academic strength, commitment, and character may be invited to complete a further four years of advanced study, taught largely through classical Arabic texts.
These years are designed to prepare students to:
Engage deeply with Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and related sciences
Study and analyse classical Islamic works
Carry knowledge responsibly
Serve as grounded role models and educators within the female community
Completion of the full program may culminate in authorisation (ijāzah) in selected sciences.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 12:45pm
Fees: Approximately $700 per term (subject to change)
